Hotel Pitaya Baya

The Master Plan includes a full service beachfront hotel which will serve Balcones and the entire Majagual community. Hotel Pitaya Baya has been permitted and designed. The Poncon & Falkiner team have designed a 40 room boutique hotel on this exotic beach setting, with access to great surfing, close proximity to San Juan del Sur, progressive design and architecture, and a relaxing social environment. The same group created the acclaimed Morgan’s Rock, two beaches to the North.

The centerpiece of the hotel design is a huge meandering pool that wanders from the edge of the beach thru the hotel complex. Pitaya Baya will also provide a restaurant and clubhouse for Balcones residents and their guests. Pitaya Baya has no competition at Majagual and is certain to be the center of activity for residents, guests, and the eclectic mix of people that is Balcones.

Retreat and Activity Center

Balcones will also include a meeting center for groups that plan retreats or meetings in the development and hotel. This center will offer meeting rooms and communications for business people who might need to check in on what is going on in the world they left behind.
